(Please no 3rd party contractor inquiries) Technology Business Systems Consultant | SQL | Data & Reporting (Contract) Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) Employment Type: Contract Duration: Through March 2027 Experience Required: 3+ Years Rate: 45-50/hr W2 Our banking client is seeking a Technology Business Systems Consultant to support enterprise applications through reporting analysis, data quality management, business process documentation, and testing initiatives. This role will partner closely with business and technology teams to identify, analyze, and resolve data and system-related issues while driving process improvements and supporting ongoing business operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong SQL skills, technical documentation experience, and the ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups. Key Responsibilities • Review and analyze daily operational and management reports. • Investigate reporting exceptions and perform root cause analysis. • Support data issue identification, tracking, and resolution efforts. • Maintain data mappings, documentation, process flows, and operating procedures. • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements. • Partner with technology teams to design and implement solutions to business challenges. • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and regression testing for application enhancements and releases. • Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support business decision-making. • Source, validate, and integrate data from multiple systems and business areas. • Ensure compliance with data governance, data quality, and reporting standards. • Provide analytical insights and recommendations based on data findings. • Coordinate communication between business and technical stakeholders throughout project lifecycles. Required Qualifications • 3+ years of experience in business systems analysis, business consulting, data analysis, or a related field. • Strong SQL experience with the ability to write complex queries and analyze large datasets. • Proven technical writing and documentation skills. • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related tools. • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements. • Ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technology teams. • Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills. • Experience working successfully in virtual and hybrid team environments. Preferred Qualifications • Experience contributing to process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives. • Ability to serve as a consultant and liaison between business and technology organizations. • Experience coordinating projects, schedules, deliverables, and stakeholder communications. • Knowledge of data governance, reporting frameworks, and data management best practices. • Previous experience within financial services, banking, or highly regulated industries. • Experience with reporting, analytics, and data visualization tools.
