Role description
Job Title: System Test/Lab Support Technician
Duration: 12+ Months (Possible extension)
Location: Arden Hills, MN 55112
Onsite Role
Responsibilities:
β’ Ensuring the availability and reliability of testing tools and infrastructure used in the development and validation of advanced medical systems
β’ This position supports the engineering team by maintaining test tools and software, ensuring 100% uptime, and assisting with testing activities as needed.
Tool Availability & Maintenance
β’ Ensure Systems Eval lab testing tools and equipment are always operational and available.
β’ Perform routine checks, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and software tools.
β’ Maintain inventory and calibration records for lab equipment.
Software Tools Management
β’ Install, configure, and update software tools used for system testing.
β’ Monitor tool performance and apply patches or upgrades as required.
β’ Collaborate with development teams to integrate new testing utilities and frameworks.
Testing Support
β’ Assist engineers in executing test plans and validating system functionality.
β’ Prepare test environments and ensure proper setup for verification and validation activities.
β’ Document test results and report issues promptly.
β’ Follow established protocols for tool maintenance and testing activities.
β’ Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality procedures.
β’ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for lab operations and tool management.
Education/Experience:
β’ Associate or Bachelorβs degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
β’ 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting engineering labs, maintaining test tools/equipment, or assisting with system-level testing.
β’ Working knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting, including Windows-based systems and mobile platforms (Android and iOS).
β’ Proficiency with Python scripting for basic automation, data handling, or tool support tasks.
β’ Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail, including accurate documentation and tracking of lab assets and activities.
