Time Series Data Engineer

TIME SERIES DATA ENGINEER – ENERGY & UTILITIES – REMOTE (US, EST) – CONTRACT Our client in the Energy & Utilities sector is seeking an experienced Time Series Data Engineer to join their team on a 6-month remote contract. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with time series data from energy assets, utilities, or financial (stock) environments. Location: Remote across the US (must be able to work EST hours) Contract: 6 months (potential extension) Start: Mid-End November - 1st week December Key Responsibilities • Design and develop data pipelines for time series data ingestion and processing • Implement and optimize Databricks workflows • Work with time series data from turbines and energy assets • Build and manage web APIs for data integration • Transform data through Bronze → Silver table layers • Collaborate with data teams to ensure efficient and scalable data architecture Required Skills & Experience • Proven expertise working with time series data • Strong experience with Databricks and data ingestion frameworks • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms • Knowledge of Delta Lake architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) • Experience building and managing web APIs • Self-driven and comfortable working independently in a remote setup • Prior experience in energy, utilities, or financial trading environments Please apply via the ad below and I will be in touch.
