Role Overview
We are seeking a TradingHub Trade Surveillance Engineer with strong data engineering and ETL experience to design, build, and maintain data pipelines supporting a trade surveillance platform. The role focuses on capital markets data, regulatory compliance, and high data quality.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL data pipelines for trading and market data
• Integrate and configure the TradingHub trade surveillance platform
• Build and optimize large relational database systems
• Develop and maintain ETL processes to integrate new systems with existing data warehouses
• Ensure high data quality, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
• Implement data validation, governance, and quality checks
• Optimize database and pipeline performance
• Enforce database security and data integrity controls
• Troubleshoot complex data and production issues
• Collaborate with compliance, trading, risk, and technology teams
• Create and maintain technical documentation (data mapping, lineage, ETL processes)
Required Skills and Experience
• Trade Surveillance implementation experience using TradingHub
• Strong ETL and data management experience (financial markets preferred)
• Direct capital markets experience: equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives
• Strong SQL skills
• Proficiency in Python or C#
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle)
• Data quality and governance experience
• Implementation support experience (3–5 years)
• Big data technologies such as Spark or Hadoop
• Familiarity with trade surveillance platforms (e.g., TradingHub, Actimize, SMARTS)
Regulatory Knowledge
• Understanding of market abuse regulations and related compliance requirements
