Role description
The Trading Hub Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines that feed large, complex capital markets data into the TradingHub trade surveillance platform. This role requires deep ETL and data management experience, strong SQL and Python (or C#) skills, and hands-on exposure to financial market data across multiple asset classes. The engineer will collaborate with compliance, trading, and technology teams to ensure accurate, timely, and regulatory-compliant data flows supporting market abuse detection and surveillance analytics. Must Have: 3+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or related roles in financial services or capital markets. Hands-on TradingHub trade surveillance implementation experience. Strong SQL and Python (or C#) programming skills; experience with ETL tools and data pipeline orchestration. Deep understanding of market data and trading workflows across major asset classes. Good to have: Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or big data platforms (Spark, Hadoop). Familiarity with market abuse surveillance and regulatory reporting concepts. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities. Nice to have: Experience in cross-functional collaboration with compliance, trading, and risk teams. Knowledge of financial instruments such as equities, fixed income, FX, and derivatives. Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting data integration issues.
