TypeScript Cloud Engineer | Chicago (Hybrid) | Long-Term Contract • • • • DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET ALL OF THE REQUIREMENTS BELOW - SPECIFIC NEEDS FOR THIS POSITION - MUST WORK 3 DAYS/WEEK ON SITE IN DOWNTOWN CHICAGO • • • We’re partnering with a leading global financial services organization to hire a hands-on Software Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity based in downtown Chicago. This role is well suited for an engineer who enjoys owning applications end-to-end, from TypeScript development through cloud infrastructure and production delivery. Location: Chicago, IL Hybrid: 3 days/week onsite downtown Long-term contract $85-95/HR Responsibilities: • Enhance and support an existing enterprise platform • Build and maintain scalable TypeScript applications • Manage cloud infrastructure and deployments • Partner with product and design teams on implementation strategy • Own delivery across application and infrastructure layers Requirements: • 5+ years of TypeScript experience • Solid experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, VPC, API Gateway) • Microservices / distributed systems background • Serverless architecture experience • Experience with Terraform for deployments/infrastructure as code • SQL / relational database experience • CI/CD pipeline experience • Experience in enterprise environments • Golang • Strong hands-on coding ability (must be able to write code/pseudocode in interview — not just explain concepts) Preferred: • Financial services experience • Data visualization platforms If you have the background above and would like to learn more, please message me directly.
