Role description
TypeScript Engineer (AI Training)
About The Role
What if your TypeScript expertise could directly influence how AI writes code for millions of developers around the world? We're looking for experienced TypeScript Engineers to evaluate and guide AI-generated code — ensuring it's type-safe, idiomatic, scalable, and built to modern standards.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role designed for seasoned TypeScript professionals who want to do meaningful, high-impact work on their own schedule. Training and onboarding support is provided.
• Organization: Alignerr
• Type: Hourly Contract
• Location: Remote
• Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
• Review and evaluate AI-generated TypeScript code for correctness, type safety, and adherence to modern best practices
• Solve complex development challenges using idiomatic TypeScript patterns and contemporary frameworks
• Write clear, detailed explanations of architectural decisions, typing logic, and code quality assessments
• Identify weaknesses in AI-generated code and provide structured, actionable feedback
• Bridge the gap between rigorous type systems and intelligent AI models — helping shape how the next generation of AI thinks about code
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
• Deep expertise in TypeScript — you're fluent in static typing, generics, interfaces, conditional types, and utility types
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with modern frontend or full-stack frameworks such as React, Angular, Node.js, Next.js, or Nuxt.js
• Strong written communicator who can articulate technical reasoning clearly and precisely
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field preferred
• Detail-oriented and consistent — you hold code to a high standard and can explain why
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently without close supervision
Nice to Have
• Experience with data annotation, model evaluation, or AI training workflows
• Familiarity with TypeScript compiler internals or advanced type-level programming
• Background in code review, technical writing, or developer tooling
• Experience across multiple TypeScript-based ecosystems or monorepo architectures
Why Join Us
• Work at the frontier of AI development alongside world-leading research labs
• Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
• Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work
• Make a direct, tangible impact on how AI understands and generates TypeScript code
• Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
