User Study Proctor (HCI) Location: Sunnyvale, CA Time zone: PST Job Description: User Study Proctor We are seeking a highly organized and energetic User Study Proctor to support human factors and user research studies onsite in Sunnyvale/Cupertino. This role involves recruiting participants, facilitating in-person studies, collecting and validating data, and ensuring a positive participant experience. Responsibilities Recruit, schedule, and manage study participants Facilitate and moderate user studies following detailed protocols Collect and validate quantitative and qualitative data from devices and participants Troubleshoot and maintain study equipment and consumer electronics Track study progress, document issues, and communicate updates to stakeholders Ensure participant compliance and privacy throughout the study process Support survey distribution, data processing, and visualizations Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline study operations Requirements Prior experience in Human Factors, HCI, UX/UI Research, Physiology, or Clinical Studies Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to multitask in fast-paced environments Proficiency with spreadsheets (Numbers/Excel) and scheduling tools Physical ability to stand/move for extended periods; good manual dexterity Onsite availability Monday–Friday, 7:30am–5:30pm Preferred Qualifications Experience with data analysis tools (Matlab, JMP, Python, R) Familiarity with motion capture, photogrammetry, or sensor-based data collection Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Work Location: On the road
