Role description
We are looking for a seasoned UX leader who excels in complex environments, can synthesize the needs of diverse user personas, and deliver cohesive design visions that drive business value.
A leading global pharmaceutical company is seeking a talented and experienced UX Designer to lead the user experience strategy, design, and delivery of high-impact Power BI dashboards and custom ReactJS dashboard solutions.
This is a key role within the Market Access Business Technology Solutions team. You will design intuitive, visually compelling analytics experiences that empower users navigating a complex market access ecosystem.
You’ll collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and developers to transform intricate data into clear, actionable, and user-friendly dashboard solutions.
Open Positions:
• UX Visual Designer I (1–3 yrs)
• UX Visual Designer II (3–5 yrs)
• UX Visual Designer III (5–7+ yrs)
Contract Details:
• Duration: Remote/TBD (long-term opportunity expected)
• Location: Client has preference for Illinois area with remote flexibility
Key Responsibilities:
• Gather requirements and user feedback to define dashboard UX goals, workflows, and success metrics
• Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes for Power BI and custom ReactJS dashboards
• Design visually clear, accessible, and engaging dashboard interfaces that effectively communicate complex data
• Partner closely with developers to ensure accurate and high-quality implementation of designs
• Conduct usability testing, gather feedback, and iterate designs to continuously improve the user experience
• Establish and promote UX/UI best practices, templates, and design standards for dashboards across the organization
• Clearly communicate design concepts, rationale, and recommendations to stakeholders and project teams
Requirements:
• Proven UX/UI design experience, ideally with analytics, data visualization, or dashboard solutions
• Strong portfolio showcasing relevant work (Power BI and/or custom dashboard experience is highly preferred)
• Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar
• Solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices
• Ability to translate complex data and business logic into intuitive, user-friendly visual stories
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) and responsive design principles
Preferred Qualifications:
• ~8+ years of experience designing for Microsoft Power BI and custom ReactJS applications
• Basic understanding of data models, analytics workflows, and business intelligence concepts
• Experience working in Agile project environments
