VCF Operations Architect

Responsibilities Description and Overview The VCF Operations Architect will design the monitoring, performance, and capacity management strategy, ensuring VCF Operations is fully integrated into the customer’s environment. This role focuses on solution architecture, operational strategy, and technical leadership for VCF Operations. Key Responsibilities • Lead workshops with customer stakeholders to define monitoring, capacity, and optimization goals. • Architect VCF Operations integration with VCF 9, vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and other integration components as needed. • Design dashboards, policies, super metrics, alerts, symptoms, custom views, and reports tailored to customer requirements. • Define KPIs, compliance baselines, and operational governance using VCF Operations. • Define notification rules and integrate where possible with ticketing systems as needed. • Collaborate with other architects (VCF Core, VKS, Automation) to ensure cross-workstream alignment. • Provide knowledge transfer and roadmap guidance for operational maturity. • Oversee consultants executing the build and configuration. Required Skills & Experience • 8+ years VMware experience in enterprise environments. • Hands-on experience with VCF Operations design and integration. • Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation 5.2; exposure to or training in VCF 9. • Strong understanding of vSphere, NSX, vSAN, and other integration components as needed. • Customer-facing consulting experience with ability to present to both executives and engineers. • Experience with custom dashboards, API integrations, and third-party monitoring tools. • Hybrid cloud monitoring experience (VMware AWS, Azure, GCP).
