Role description
Experienced Platform Virtualisation Engineer wanted for a major virtualisation project.
This is a 12-month programme with an initial 6-month contract, Inside IR35, based in the North West with on-site presence ideally two days per week (flexibility for non-local candidates).
What you'll do:
• Virtualise and optimise on-prem servers
• Automate infrastructure with Terraform (IaC) & scripting
• Integrate with Forms and CI/CD pipelines
• Drive DevOps best practice across VMware/vSphere environments
Essential skills (must-haves):
• VMware, vSphere and Hypervisor experience
• In-depth Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code skills
• Strong automation scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
• Containerisation/orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker) desirable
• Solid OS/networking knowledge (Windows, Linux, Firewalls, Load Balancers)
