Duration: 6 month W2 contract, plus extensions
Pay: 50-60 hr on W2
Job Description:
One of our largest utility clients is seeking a highly skilled Visualization Power BI Specialist to transform complex operational and Energy Services data into clear, compelling, and decision‑ready insights. This role sits within a collaborative, cross‑functional team supporting various departments and operations but not limited to, Electric Operations and Energy Services, where a strong understanding of how data reflects real‑world programs, customer activity, and regulatory workflows is critical. The team manages end‑to‑end processes across internal and external systems, ensuring customer filings are accurately tracked, business rules are followed, and system enhancements effectively support both users and operations. This is a newly created role focused on elevating how data is consumed across the organization. The ideal candidate brings a strong, proven skillset in Power BI, with the ability to take large, complex datasets and convert them into intuitive, visually compelling dashboards that are easy to digest and immediately actionable. Success in this role requires more than technical capability, the individual must understand the Energy Services business, ask the right questions, and translate data into meaningful insights that resonate with both operational teams and leadership. Experience with Tableau is a strong plus, but deep Power BI expertise, business acumen, and the ability to tell a clear, impactful story through data are essential.
Must haves
• 10+ years of Power BI experience
• 5+ years of Tableau experience
• Prior experience in the Utilities industry
• Strong portfolio showcasing dashboards, visualizations, and reporting work
• Proven success in data visualization, data manipulation, and analytical storytelling
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
