W2 Only--Sr SQL DBA--Remote

Role: Sr SQL DBA (W2 only) Location : Chicago, IL ----- Remote Duration : 3 months contract to Hire Visa: USC, GC on w2 Job Description: We are looking for a highly experienced Senior SQL Server DBA to support a critical production environment. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience managing SQL Server databases, resolving complex production issues, and supporting application teams in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide senior-level SQL Server database administration and production support. Troubleshoot and resolve critical database incidents in real time. Work closely with application teams to diagnose and resolve database-related issues. Perform advanced SQL Server performance tuning and optimization. Manage and support SQL Server replication environments. Monitor and resolve CPU, memory, and query performance issues. Analyze database workloads and implement improvements for system stability and performance. Provide technical leadership and guidance on database best practices. Required Skills & Experience: Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration. Deep expertise in SQL Server performance troubleshooting and tuning. Experience with SQL Server replication (transactional/merge or similar). Proven ability to troubleshoot real-time production issues in critical environments. Strong understanding of advanced database concepts and architecture. Experience diagnosing CPU-related performance issues and system bottlenecks. Ability to analyze complex scenarios and provide structured problem-solving approaches.
