Duties
Design and develop engaging, responsive web pages tailored for the Shopify platform, ensuring optimal performance across devices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate wireframes and user flows into functional web designs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SCSS.
Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and increase organic traffic.
Integrate third-party APIs, RESTful services, and web services to enhance site functionality and interactivity.
Utilize version control systems like GitHub and SVN to manage code repositories efficiently.
Conduct user experience (UX) testing and gather feedback to refine designs for maximum usability.
Maintain system architecture documentation and ensure adherence to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards within Agile workflows.
Experience
Proven experience in front-end web development with a strong portfolio showcasing Shopify-based projects or similar e-commerce sites.
Proficiency in web design tools such as Visual Studio, wireframing software, and Adobe XD or Figma for UI/UX design.
Solid understanding of web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (and frameworks like Angular, React, jQuery), TypeScript, Bootstrap, and responsive web design principles.
Familiarity with back-end integration using PHP, Python, or ASP.NET along with knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, SQLite, or Data visualization tools.
Experience working within DevOps environments utilizing Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux systems.
Knowledge of e-commerce platforms like WordPress (WooCommerce), Drupal Commerce, or Shopifyβs Liquid templating language is highly desirable.
Understanding of SEO strategies to optimize product pages and improve visibility on search engines.
Ability to work in an Agile setting using Trello or Jira for project management while adhering to SDLC best practices.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear visual narratives for stakeholders.
