Job Title: WhereScape + Snowflake Data Architect / Engineer (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Remote (US) / Hybrid optionalJob Type: Contract (W2 or 1099) — Contract-to-HireSchedule: 30–40 hrs/week (flexible)Duration: 3–6 months initial (extensions likely)
About the RoleWe’re hiring a hands-on WhereScape + Snowflake Architect/Engineer to design, build, and operationalize a modern data platform. You must be comfortable with Data Vault and traditional dimensional modeling, and have real experience customizing WhereScape using Pebble templates.
What You’ll Do
Build and optimize ELT pipelines in Snowflake using WhereScape
Model data using Data Vault (Hubs/Links/Sats) and dimensional (facts/dims) patterns
Customize/maintain Pebble templates (standards, automation, load patterns, hashing/audit fields, incremental logic)
Improve reliability: logging/auditing, error handling, reruns, and operational runbooks
Troubleshoot production issues and tune Snowflake performance/cost
Must-Have Requirements
Strong hands-on WhereScape experience in production
Strong hands-on Snowflake experience (SQL, performance tuning)
Practical experience with Data Vault and dimensional modeling
Pebble template customization experience (required)
Strong SQL, ELT patterns, incremental loads, hashing/audit controls
Self-directed communicator who documents decisions and patterns
Nice to Have
Azure (ADF, Azure SQL, ADLS/Blob) or similar cloud data sources
Python/Snowpark utilities for validation/automation
CI/CD and Git-based release workflows
