Role description
Key Responsibilities
• Support and maintain enterprise business intelligence (BI) environments and reporting systems
• Analyze workforce, labor market, and economic data to support policy development and program evaluation
• Manage, integrate, and validate large administrative datasets from multiple sources
• Develop forecasts, trend analyses, and econometric models to support strategic decision-making
• Design and evaluate surveys, sampling strategies, and longitudinal studies
• Conduct economic impact and cost–benefit analyses
• Prepare high-quality technical documentation, reports, dashboards, and visualizations
• Present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with established standards
• Adapt research methodologies to align with evolving workforce policies and priorities
• Collaborate with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams while also working independently when required
Mandatory Qualifications
• Education:
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (or technical institute degree/certificate) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• OR
• Equivalent work experience:
• 8–9 years of total IT experience, including
• 5–6 years of experience with business intelligence tools and systems and/or
• 5–6 years of experience in economic or statistical analysis
• Experience with workforce development systems, labor market information systems, or public-sector analytics
• Experience supporting enterprise-level BI environments
• Familiarity with Florida’s workforce ecosystem, including CareerSource Florida, local workforce boards, and state agencies
Required Knowledge
• Microeconomics, macroeconomics, and labor economics
• Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)
• Florida’s REACH Act and related workforce policy frameworks
• Statistical and econometric tools such as R, SAS, Stata, and Python
• Survey design, sampling techniques, and longitudinal analysis
• Economic impact analysis and cost–benefit evaluation methods
Required Skills
• Advanced quantitative and qualitative research skills
• Large-scale data management and system integration
• Econometric modelling, forecasting, and trend analysis
• Strong technical writing, data visualization, and presentation skills
• Proficiency with BI tools, databases, and reporting platforms
Required Abilities
• Interpret and synthesize complex economic and workforce data
• Clearly communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse teams
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines
• Adapt research and analytical approaches to changing policy needs
