Role description
Job Title: Workato Engineer Location: Remote Type of hire: Contract Job Description : We are seeking a skilled Workato Engineer to design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise integration solutions using the Workato platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building integrations, automations, and workflows between cloud and on-premise applications while ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deploy, and support integrations using Workato recipes, connectors, and APIs. Build and maintain integrations between enterprise applications such as Salesforce, NetSuite, SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, and other SaaS platforms. Develop custom connectors and API-based integrations when required. Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into integration solutions. Monitor integration performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements. Implement data transformation, validation, and error-handling mechanisms. Create technical documentation, process flows, and integration specifications. Ensure integrations comply with security, governance, and best practices. Support production deployments and provide ongoing maintenance and optimization. Participate in integration architecture discussions and recommend process improvements. Required Skills & Qualifications 3+ years of experience with Workato platform development and administration. Strong experience building Workato recipes, workflows, and automation solutions. Hands-on experience with REST APIs, SOAP APIs, webhooks, and JSON/XML. Experience integrating enterprise applications such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, SAP, ServiceNow, Oracle ERP, or similar platforms. Strong understanding of ETL, data mapping, and data transformation concepts. Proficiency in SQL and database technologies. Experience with authentication protocols such as OAuth, SAML, JWT, and API security best practices. Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Preferred Qualifications Workato Automation Pro certification or relevant Workato certifications. Experience with iPaaS platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica Cloud, or SnapLogic. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Nice to Have Experience with event-driven architectures and microservices. Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns. Experience in Finance, Healthcare, Retail, Insurance, or Manufacturing domains. Exposure to AI-powered automation and workflow orchestration.
