Role description
• Define and execute the architectural design of complex, enterprise‑grade integration solutions, ensuring scalability, security, reliability, and high performance across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Lead the architectural aspects of system integration using WSO2 platforms (API Manager, Micro Integrator, Identity Server), including API‑led connectivity, event‑driven architectures, and message‑based communication.
• Provide technical leadership for OneInc payment integrations, covering end‑to‑end payment workflows such as authorization, capture, settlement, reconciliation, refunds, and downstream financial system integrations.
• Design, develop, and oversee WSO2‑based integration services, including REST/SOAP APIs, mediation flows, connectors, transformations, and orchestration logic.
• Lead hands‑on development and customization of OneInc payment solution integrations, leveraging OneInc APIs, webhooks, callbacks, and event streams to support business‑critical payment use cases.
• Develop and review integration code artifacts (WSO2 Micro Integrator flows, API policies, mediation logic, message transformations, and cloud‑native microservices) ensuring quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Drive the selection and adoption of strategic integration and payment technologies, evaluating industry trends in API management, event streaming, cloud‑native integration, and digital payments.
• Develop and maintain an integration and payments roadmap aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and platform sustainability.
• Establish and enforce architecture standards, coding standards, and integration patterns for WSO2 and OneInc solutions to ensure consistency, reusability, and quality.
• Promote and enforce design documentation, API contracts (OpenAPI/Swagger), versioning strategies, integration lifecycle management, and CI/CD deployment practices.
• Collaborate with application teams, product managers, finance, risk, compliance, vendor partners (including OneInc), and IT operations to provide technical leadership and delivery direction.
• Mentor and guide integration developers and engineers, fostering a culture of strong engineering practices, test automation, code quality, and continuous improvement.
• Lead design reviews, architecture reviews, and code reviews for WSO2 integrations and OneInc payment components, ensuring scalability, resiliency, observability, and fault tolerance.
• Identify integration and payment‑specific technical risks (latency, idempotency, data consistency, external dependency failures) and define mitigation and remediation strategies.
• Optimize integration architectures for high throughput and low latency, addressing performance bottlenecks across APIs, messaging layers, and orchestration services.
• Design and implement disaster recovery, failover, retry, and compensation mechanisms for integration and payment platforms to ensure uninterrupted operations and SLA compliance.
• Ensure all WSO2 and OneInc payment solutions adhere to security standards, regulatory requirements, and data protection obligations, including auditability and traceability.
• Define and embed security controls at the integration layer, including authentication, authorization, encryption, secrets management, monitoring, logging, and payment‑specific risk controls.
