2026 IDS Summer Associate – Data Governance
Year of Graduation: 12/2026 - 05/2027
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Graduate School Summer Intern to join our Data Governance team. The summer intern will support IDS Commercial Data Governance function in advancing governance capabilities and Agentic AI-readiness. This internship provides the opportunity to work on real-world Data Governance initiatives that help our patients, enhance decision-making, and optimize operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the Data Quality & Data Trust frameworks across key commercial data domains (e-g, IQVIA data, Field Targeting, HCP/HCO, Payer, SP/Hub, and Patient Journey).
• Participate in Governance Command Center to identify key DQ challenges, daily/weekly/monthly metrics & trends, SLAs, and executive reporting,
• Assist with KPI governance initiative to understand business requirements, governance framework, and KPI trust index.
• Work with DG leaders in advancing Agentic AI-readiness, assessing governance platform capabilities (e-g, Collibra), and finalizing future state.
• Help develop data governance KPIs and executive dashboards with quality & trust indicators, trends, and scorecards.
• Assist in business metadata enhancement, automation, and improving data workflows.
• Document key data assets, data ownership, policy requirements, and relevant SOPs
Required Qualifications:
• Current student of a master’s degree program in business data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of AI, data lifecycle, data lake, SQL, APIs, and executive dashboarding
• Experience with Copilot & GenAI-related technologies for enhancing data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
• Familiarity with data visualization principles and best practices.
• Experience working with large datasets and various data sources
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data insights for non-technical stakeholders.
Location: East Hanover, NJ (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: (W2 Only - based on Education and Experience)
Masters $35.00/hour
PharmD/PhD/MD/JD $40.00/hour
MBA $43.00/hour
Contract: 2-month
