Accountant

Responsibilities Data Management & System Administration (75%) • Implement scalable data management frameworks to support rapid growth in high-volume retail, grocery, or food distribution environments • Manage data entry and validation across systems (Coupa, Workday, Procore), with focus on purchase orders, inventory data, and vendor transactions • Perform proactive data quality audits to identify and resolve discrepancies in account codes, budgets, and invoicing • Leverage AI tools and automation to streamline data workflows and improve efficiency Vendor & Stakeholder Support (15%) • Optimize systems and workflows across procurement and vendor ecosystems within grocery and food logistics environments • Partner with Procurement to resolve vendor issues and ensure accurate onboarding for high-volume suppliers and distributors • Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, providing guidance and driving operational improvements Analysis & Reporting (10%) • Analyze and resolve data integrity and reporting issues across inventory, procurement, and supply chain datasets • Investigate and solve moderately complex data problems using appropriate tools and sources Experience • Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite • Experience identifying and resolving data integrity issues and performing business calculations • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across teams • Strong customer service and problem-solving mindset • Experience in grocery, food distribution, produce, or high-volume inventory environments strongly preferred • Background in data entry, facilities, construction, or store development • Familiarity with procurement systems (Coupa preferred) and vendor management • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools • Exposure to AI/ML tools for automation or analytics • Understanding of budget coding and financial systems • Knowledge of organizational structures and approval workflows Qualifications • High school diploma required • 1–2+ years of experience in data management, procurement support, or operations, ideally within grocery, food production, distribution, or retail environments
