Job#: 3033506 Job Description: Actuarial Data Engineer Location: Remote with meetings on PST Employment Type: Contract Role Overview We are seeking a Data Engineer to support an actuarial team. This role involves ensuring data availability and integrity within a Databricks environment, performing necessary data transformations, and facilitating the integration between various machine learning models. The position requires close collaboration with actuaries to establish forecasts and track outputs back to the source systems. Key Responsibilities • Ensure data availability per requirements against existing Databricks data. • Perform data validations and transformations according to actuarial category and economic parameters. • Collaborate with Actuaries to establish forecasts and outputs, tracking them back to Databricks and Dataiku solutions. • Contribute to the maintenance of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines. Required Qualifications Experience: • Proven experience with Databricks and Spark. • Experience working directly with Actuaries and with actuarial data. • Knowledge of data pre-processing and post-processing techniques. Technical Skills: • Proficiency in Python/PySpark and SQL. • Strong experience with Databricks • Familiarity with Data Factory and ADLS storage. • Understanding of Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines from a maintenance perspective. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with data modeling. • Familiarity with Terraform scripts for cloud infrastructure provisioning. • Developed skills in requirements gathering. • A mindset geared toward data governance and traceability. Compensation & Benefits The pay rate for this position is between $65.00 and $80.00 per hour depending on experience.
