Description
• The Advanced Analytics role will develop and lead initiatives focused on improving the guest experience. They will lead measurement and develop insights leveraging a wide range of internal data sources to ensure the business is making the right decisions for both strategic direction and tactical execution.
• The ideal candidate is someone with a strong data and analytics background. This person is curious, engaged, positive, and detail- and solutions-oriented. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, capable of juggling multiple priorities and firm timelines. The right candidate will have a proven record of using a range of strategies and disciplines to solve complex and ambiguous measurement problems for business teams in close collaboration with other functions, especially Product, Engineering, Finance, and Data Science. This person will have experience with reporting, experimentation, deep-dive analysis, and causal inference techniques. Ideally, this person will have experience with software products and 2-sided marketplace dynamics. This person will use their considerable experience with data and insights storytelling to influence large-scale strategic programs through clear and concise communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• You must be comfortable working in a global company and in a highly collaborative environment. The successful candidate should have solid experience creating internal advocacy and influencing senior audiences on hard to communicate topics.
Duties
• Conduct strategic deep dives and employ advanced data analysis to extract actionable insights that inform roadmap
• Define, design, develop, and maintain a complete suite of self-service dashboards and tools to provide insights to a variety of stakeholders
• Define data foundation requirements (logging, metrics)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Finance, and Data Science to ensure
Requirements
• 10+ years of measurement experience and background in data and analytics work and experimentation
• High proficiency in SQL for data analysis
• Strong data/analytics background, fluency with experimentation (A/B tests, experiment, causal inference), measurement models, and data foundation work
• Deep experience in advanced analytics or business data science within a marketplace or business strategy setting
• Exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to make informed judgments.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with a variety of stakeholders and conveying complex concepts in an accessible manner.
• Proven track record for seamlessly working across different teams and partners
• Positive and collaborative personality and a commitment to ensuring all activities undertaken are as successful as possible
• Extremely capable in independently structuring and managing fast-paced ane sometimes complex workflow and priorities
