Role description
Job Title: AI Agent Developer Location: Evanston, IL (Hybrid, Preferred) Contract Overview We are seeking a contractor to support the rapid development of AI agents across the enterprise. This role will focus on building intelligent, scalable, and secure AI solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and Power Platform. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, collaborative, and experienced in the above-mentioned environments with a strong understanding of Microsoft’s AI ecosystem. Key Responsibilities β€’ Design, build, and deploy enterprise-ready AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Power Automate, and Power Apps. β€’ Integrate various LLMs for advanced language, vision, and audio capabilities. β€’ Leverage retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector database and grounding techniques to provide contextually accurate responses from enterprise data sources (e.g., SharePoint, Dataverse, internal APIs). β€’ Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into AI-powered workflows and agents. β€’ Monitor and optimize agent performance through feedback loops, telemetry, and analytics (e.g., Azure Monitor, M365 Admin Center). β€’ Ensure all agents comply with enterprise governance, data privacy, and Responsible AI standards. β€’ Participate in agile delivery sprints to prototype, iterate, and scale AI solutions quickly. β€’ Build processes and documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams. β€’ Required Skills β€’ Hands-on experience building AI agents with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry and Power Platform. β€’ Proficiency with Azure AI Foundry Azure AI Services and integrating LLMs into enterprise apps. β€’ Strong understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI agent orchestration. β€’ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. β€’ Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications β€’ Experience with GitHub Copilot, M365 Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry and Azure AI Services. β€’ Background in IT operations, digital transformation, or enterprise AI enablement. β€’ Familiarity with Microsoft’s AI training paths and scenario libraries. β€’ Experience with M365 Copilot extensibility, including custom skills, connectors, and plugin development. β€’ Familiarity with deploying agents in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, or other Microsoft 365 applications. β€’ Awareness of Microsoft’s Responsible AI principles and AI scenario libraries. β€’ Experience integrating with enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, or internal REST APIs. Knowledge of GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding assistants.
