Role description
AI Agent Developer (Contract)
Location: Atlanta, GA (Open to Remote / Hybrid)
We are seeking an experienced AI Agent Developer to design, build, and deploy autonomous AI agents capable of reasoning, planning, and executing multi-step tasks using large language models (LLMs) and modern agent frameworks. This role will play a key part in developing agent-based solutions that leverage enterprise data across a newly evolving Data Lake / Lakehouse environment and integrate with existing district systems.
The ideal candidate is technically strong, highly collaborative, and comfortable βknitting togetherβ data, tools, and platforms to deliver intelligent, production-ready AI agents. This role will work closely with custom development teams and business stakeholders to support both AI-driven automation and future rapid application development initiatives.
Current major system environment: Microsoft Power Platform, Azure, Microsoft Fabric Technology Environment
AI Agents Will Interact With Data And Systems Including
β’ Enterprise Data Warehouse and emerging Data Lake / Lakehouse
β’ Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric
β’ Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
β’ SharePoint (on-prem)
β’ SAP, including SAP SAC (analytics and reporting)
β’ UKG (time management)
β’ Concur (expense management)
β’ Custom-built enterprise solutions
β’ Microsoft Copilot and LLM-based tools such as ChatGPT
Required Skills & Experience
β’ Strong Python development skills
β’ Experience with .NET development, JavaScript, and JSON
β’ Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform
β’ Experience working with LLM frameworks and agent-based systems
β’ Backend and API development experience
β’ Understanding of agent-based modeling, multi-agent systems, or reinforcement learning
β’ Knowledge of vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and/or prompt engineering
β’ Ability to design conversational AI and chatbot experiences
β’ Strong collaboration skills and willingness to share knowledge across teams
Nice to Have
β’ Experience with Hyland OnBase
β’ Experience with SAP Forms
β’ Familiarity with Azure-native AI services and Microsoft Fabric workloads
β’ Experience supporting rapid application development initiatives
