This is a part-time / contract opportunity for an AI Automation Agency.
AI Automation Specialist / AI Engineer
Job Overview
Weβre looking for an experienced AI Automation Specialist to design, build, and maintain advanced automation workflows that leverage AI and modern API infrastructure. Youβll be the go-to expert for implementing scalable automation solutions using n8n, integrating external APIs, and orchestrating intelligent systems with Python, LLMs, and AWS. If youβre passionate about automating everything, know how to get different systems talking, and understand how to make AI actually useful in real workflows β we want to talk to you.
Key Responsibilities
Build and manage complex workflow automations using n8n, integrating various tools, APIs, and databases.
Develop and maintain robust backend logic using Python to support AI-driven automation and API logic.
Design, test, and deploy automation that connects cloud apps (e.g. Google Workspace, Slack, CRMs, Notion, Zapier-replacement workflows, etc.).
Integrate and fine-tune Large Language Models (LLMs) (e.g. OpenAI, Claude, Bedrock) for document processing, summarization, intelligent response generation, and more.
Engineer custom prompts and memory/context handling for LLM use within automations.
Handle API authentication methods (OAuth 2.0, API keys, JWT) and rate limiting for reliable integrations.
Build scalable solutions on AWS, including Lambda functions, API Gateway endpoints, and data storage with S3 and DynamoDB.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing workflows for speed, scalability, and error handling.
Maintain clear documentation and diagrams of your workflows and code logic.
Requirements
2+ years experience building end-to-end workflow automations, preferably with n8n (or similar tools like Zapier, Make, etc.).
Strong Python development experience, including building APIs, scripts, and working with cloud functions.
Experience working with LLMs, including prompt engineering, chaining, context management, and retrieval-augmented generation.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, webhooks, and JSON/XML data structures.
Experience deploying solutions in AWS, including Lambda, S3, EC2, and Secrets Manager.
Ability to architect and scale workflows across departments or clients.
Strong debugging skills and a mindset of automation-first problem solving.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, Weaviate, or FAISS).
Experience with LangChain or similar AI orchestration tools.
Experience deploying microservices or containerized workloads using Docker.
Background in data parsing and transformation (e.g. with Pandas or regex-heavy logic).
Prior experience in building automations for sales, support, or internal operations.
