Title: AI Business Analyst Location: Charlotte, NC Duration: 12 months Work Engagement: W2 Work Schedule: Hybrid Benefits on offer for this contract position: Health Insurance, Life insurance, 401K and Voluntary Benefits We are seeking an analytical and business‑savvy AI Business Analyst to support the design and delivery of AI-driven initiatives across our banking operations. In this role, you will work closely with business units, risk teams, and technical partners to identify opportunities where AI, automation, and analytics can enhance customer experience, streamline operations, and strengthen risk management. This role is ideal for someone who understands the complexities of the financial sector and can translate them into actionable, data-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities • Analyze banking workflows—including retail, commercial, lending, fraud, credit, compliance, and customer service—to identify opportunities for AI and automation. • Translate business needs into clear AI/ML requirements, user stories, process maps, and functional specifications. • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to design responsible and compliant AI solutions. • Support the development and implementation of AI use cases such as credit decisioning, fraud detection, predictive analytics, customer segmentation, and conversational banking. • Build ROI analyses, regulatory impact assessments, and value‑case documentation for AI initiatives. • Participate in model validation, testing, and monitoring to ensure accuracy, fairness, and compliance with banking standards. • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Monitor AI and regulatory trends in banking (e.g., model risk management, fair lending) and recommend best practices. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field. • Experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, AI Analyst, or similar role—preferably in financial services. • Understanding of banking processes such as lending, fraud/risk, payments, customer onboarding, or regulatory compliance. • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, data pipelines, and model lifecycle fundamentals. • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.). • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language. • Experience working with regulatory frameworks such as MRM (Model Risk Management), Fair Lending, or AML requirements. • Exposure to automation tools (Power Automate, UiPath) or conversational AI platforms. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and their AI/ML services.
