AI & Data Architect (Architect IV, Experienced)

GSG Talent Solutions is seeking an AI & Data Architect (Architect IV, Experienced) for a contract position. This role focuses on designing and implementing enterprise-scale AI and data solutions and will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support TRS’s data and AI initiatives. This is a hybrid position with three onsite days per week.Candidates must be able to report onsite in central Austin, TX.No applications will be accepted from candidates outside Austin and its greater surrounding areas. Pay: $82.20/hour (paid weekly)Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Key Responsibilities Design & Implementation Architect and deliver scalable, secure data solutions on Azure, including Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, MLflow, Event Hub, SQL, Blob Storage, ADLS Gen2, Purview, Functions, Key Vault, and Log Analytics. Design and implement GenAI architectures, including RAG, LLMs, and domain tuning. Build secure, extensible data frameworks integrated across enterprise systems. Develop and maintain metadata structures, ontologies, and taxonomies to support GenAI use cases. Document architecture designs, processes, and integration patterns. Collaboration Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions. Contribute to data architecture strategy, platform selection, and roadmap planning. Support AI/ML development efforts and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams. Stay current on AI and data architecture trends and introduce innovative solutions where applicable. Operational Excellence Conduct architecture reviews and enforce standards and best practices. Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements. Provide operational support and perform ad-hoc tasks as needed. Required Experience & Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in Data & Analytics architect roles. 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure public cloud services. 2+ years of hands-on experience with AI services. Proven experience delivering enterprise-level, data-centric architecture solutions. Required Skills Technical Azure data services, Databricks, Snowflake, MLflow, Azure ML, Cognitive Services, Power Automate, and Purview. GenAI platforms such as Azure OpenAI and Databricks Intelligence Platform. Familiarity with LangChain and LangGraph. Strong expertise in metadata management, data governance, and data modeling. Soft Skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities. Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams. Commitment to continuous learning and innovation.
