AI Data Engineer (Contract) Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. Summary This role is responsible for streamlining key business processes by developing and maintaining automated dashboards. This includes integrating data from various sources such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Excel, and cross-organizational databases. The role also supports data consolidation initiatives and contributes to overall project coordination, reporting, and technical task planning. Job Responsibilities • Build automated dashboards that consolidate data from ADO, Excel, and other sources into interactive visualizations. • Maintain existing dashboards and backend configurations in ADO. • Develop queries and generate reports to support evolving business needs. • Troubleshoot dashboard bugs and implement performance improvements. • Coordinate cross-functional projects and integrate technical activities. • Analyze technology and resource needs to assess project feasibility. • Present technical reports, dashboard proposals, and findings to stakeholders. • Collaborate with business users to automate manual processes via dashboards and data flows. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (required). • Minimum of 2 years in a related technical or analytical role. • 2+ years working with Power BI, Azure DevOps (ADO), and dashboard/database management. • Experience in process automation and dashboard conversion is highly preferred. • Prior Microsoft experience or background with a major tech organization is strongly desired. • Must have sufficient knowledge and experience using MSFT's Power Platform including Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, as well as Azure DevOps, SharePoint and more. • Experience building and maintaining dashboards with backend integrations. • Knowledge of data modeling, visual storytelling, and reporting best practices. • Familiarity with datacenter environments and Azure is a plus. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. • Attention to detail and a proactive attitude. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
