AI Data Engineer (Contract) Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. As a senior-level contributor, you will design and build robust data pipelines, craft sophisticated data models, and develop innovative data products that power marketing, AI/ML, and product systems. You will serve as a critical bridge between technical execution and business strategy, partnering with data scientists, analysts, data engineers, and game teams to deliver solutions that are secure, reliable, and built to evolve. Job Responsibilities • Build subject matter expertise across business and data domains to collaborate with data consumers and stakeholders, helping them understand and access the data they need • Identify and analyze multi-structured data and metadata from a variety of sources to select and document the most effective and accurate data that fulfills analytics requirements • Design data models, architect dataflows, and develop abstractions to deliver scalable analytics and machine learning solutions that can evolve with changing business needs • Leverage modern data engineering practices and frameworks with an object-oriented approach to architect, build, and maintain automated data pipelines that transform raw data into clean, enriched, and accurate information • Advance team infrastructure by developing frameworks, reusable components, and new capabilities that support the broader analytics mission • Enable franchise performance marketing strategy through the development of relevant and robust data products • Dedicate approximately 60% of time to coding activities, with a focus on data transformation and infrastructure development • Spend approximately 30% of time interfacing with users on requirements gathering, data analysis, and solution design • Participate in team meetings and collaborative sessions as needed Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer with regular business collaboration on large enterprise systems • Demonstrated track record of building and optimizing analytic solutions and data products that deliver significant, measurable business impact • Proven experience working cross-functionally with data scientists, analysts, data engineers, and product or game teams to align on definitions and deliver solutions at the pace of the business • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 4 or more years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, data science, or related software development work • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 3 or more years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, data science, or related software development work • Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree • Advanced proficiency in Python with a minimum of 4 to 5 years of hands-on experience in data transformation and automation • Strong SQL proficiency with the ability to write complex queries for data transformation and analysis • Demonstrated expertise in data modeling with a minimum of 3 years of applied experience • Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise-scale data pipelines that handle logs and event streaming data on cloud data platforms, with Azure preferred • Familiarity with modern data engineering tools such as Spark and Airflow • Working knowledge of DevOps and DataOps principles and practices • Strong data analysis and exploration skills to identify, select, and prepare data for analytics use cases • Business acumen with the ability to translate complex business challenges into effective analytics engineering solutions • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills with a proven ability to deliver solutions that drive measurable business impact • Marketing domain knowledge with at least 2 years of experience supporting marketing data or performance marketing initiatives • Video game domain knowledge, either as an experienced player or industry professional, is strongly preferred Additional Details • Location: Redmond, WA (Hybrid: 3 days a week) • Duration: 13 months • Pay Range • : $68.50 - $77.50 per hour • Weekly Schedule: 40 hours • Job Status: Non-Exempt • Application Deadline: Apply within 72 hours of the posting date to ensure consideration.
