AI Data Governance Lead

About the Opportunity: A leading enterprise organization is seeking an experienced Data Governance leader to drive enterprise-wide governance initiatives supporting modern data platforms, advanced analytics, and responsible AI adoption. This role will lead strategic efforts across enterprise data governance, AI governance, data quality, metadata management, regulatory compliance, and enterprise reporting. The successful candidate will partner closely with business, technology, analytics, and risk stakeholders to establish scalable governance frameworks that improve data quality while enabling enterprise AI capabilities. What You'll Tackle: • Lead enterprise-wide data governance initiatives across business and technology organizations. • Develop governance standards supporting enterprise analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives. • Define governance processes for critical business data and enterprise reporting. • Build governance operating models supporting responsible AI adoption. • Improve enterprise data quality through measurable governance controls. • Partner with architecture, engineering, analytics, and risk teams to embed governance into enterprise platforms. • Develop metadata standards, business glossaries, data lineage documentation, and stewardship processes. • Present governance metrics and program updates to executive leadership. • Support governance initiatives across modern cloud-based enterprise data environments. • Drive continuous improvement of governance policies, standards, and operating procedures. What You Bring: • Extensive experience leading enterprise Data Governance programs. • Strong understanding of enterprise data management and regulatory governance. • Experience supporting AI governance and advanced analytics initiatives. • Knowledge of: Metadata Management, Data Lineage, Data Stewardship, Data Quality, and Governance Frameworks. • Experience partnering with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders • Experience with enterprise governance platforms such as: Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, or similar tools. • Experience supporting cloud-based enterprise data environments. • Strong executive communication and presentation skills. • Ability to translate regulatory and AI risks into practical governance processes. Preferred Experience: • Financial Services or other highly regulated industries. • Enterprise reporting environments. • Responsible AI governance. • Cloud data platforms. • Microsoft ecosystem. • Multilingual communication skills, including Mandarin are a plus.
