AI Data Scientist – Python Specialist (Contract) Location: Cambridge (Hybrid – 1 day/week onsite)

A leading Cambridge-based biotech company is urgently seeking an AI Data Scientist with strong Python skills to support the development of machine learning models for biomedical data analysis. You’ll be joining a small, agile team working on projects ranging from genomic data interpretation to clinical trial optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and deploy ML models using Python, scikit-learn, and PyTorch
• Work with structured and unstructured biomedical datasets (e.g. genomic sequences, patient records, imaging)
• Collaborate with bioinformaticians and clinical researchers to translate data into actionable insights
• Contribute to the development of internal tools for data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in data science or ML, ideally in biotech or healthcare
• Strong Python programming skills and experience with ML libraries
• Familiarity with Jupyter, Pandas, NumPy, and MLFlow
• Experience working with clinical or biological datasets is a big plus
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, research-driven environment Bonus Skills:
• Knowledge of genomics, bioinformatics, or clinical trials
