Job Title: AIData Scientist (GenAI & LLM Engineering) Location: Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC Work Arrangement: Hybrid Client Industry: Financial Services / Enterprise Technology Duration: 18 Months Contract Schedule: Monday to Friday, Standard Business Hours About the Role: We are hiring an AI Data Scientist to join our client s advanced engineering team on a contract basis. This is a high-impact opportunity to work on cutting-edge GenAI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions that are built from the ground up. You ll help design and deliver scalable, production-grade AI systems used in real-world enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and implement AI and GenAI solutions using Python • Build and maintain RAG pipelines, LLM fine-tuning workflows, and inference frameworks • Develop API-based services using FastAPI and integrate AI models into applications • Work with vector databases and data stores to support semantic search and retrieval • Participate in CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, testing, and production deployments • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and estimate development work • Contribute to architecture decisions across data, application, and lifecycle components What We Re Looking For • 5+ years of experience in AI engineering, data science, or machine learning development • Strong expertise in Python and hands-on experience building systems • Experience with GenAI, LLMs, RAG architectures, and vector databases • Proficiency with API development (FastAPI or similar frameworks) • Experience with lifecycle tools (Flow, Kubeflow, model monitoring) • Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) • Ability to work effectively in large, collaborative engineering teams Compensation Hourly Rate: $65 $70 per hour This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
