Role description
Role: AI/Data Scientist Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) • Only for candidates who doesn't require sponsorship • We are seeking an early-career AI Data Scientist to support the development and deployment of AI-driven solutions that enhance business operations, customer experience, and decision-making. This role will work closely with data engineers, cloud teams, business stakeholders, and AI leaders to build, test, and operationalize machine learning and generative AI solutions leveraging AWS technologies and Kiro. Responsibilities • Develop and maintain machine learning and AI models to support business initiatives. • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. • Utilize AWS AI/ML services to build, train, and deploy models in cloud environments. • Partner with data engineering teams to prepare, clean, and transform data for analytics and AI use cases. • Assist in the development of Generative AI solutions using AWS and Kiro tools. • Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Monitor model performance and recommend enhancements to improve accuracy and business value. • Participate in proof-of-concepts and pilot programs related to AI, automation, and advanced analytics. • Stay current on emerging AI technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field. • 1+ year of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, Advanced Analytics, or a related technical field. • Experience working with Python and SQL. • Exposure to machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar. • Experience working with AWS cloud services. • Understanding of data modeling, data preparation, and statistical analysis techniques. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication skills and ability to present findings to business stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with AWS SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, S3, Redshift, or related AWS services. • Exposure to Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, or AI copilots. • Experience with Kiro or similar AI-assisted development platforms. • Familiarity with telecom, customer analytics, or enterprise-scale data environments. • AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS AI Practitioner, or related certification.
