AI Developer / Engineer

AI Engineer – LLM, Python, RAG, Data Analyst – SQL, Tableau, R, Python, Gen AI, Machine Learning This is 12 month fixed term contract, hybrid working, office location Weybridge, Surrey. The Role: • Build and refine LLM-based agents, focusing on retrieval-augmented generation, data retrieval systems and leveraging APIs for seamless integration. • Design and implement solutions architecture for AI-powered systems, leveraging expertise in Python, Java and database systems (SQL/NoSQL.) • Fine-tune SLM and develop machine learning models to drive business outcomes. • Stay on top of the latest open-source trends and incorporate applicable tools into our tech stack. • Prototype and test AI applications, refining machine learning techniques to improve model accuracy. • Apply back-end expertise for data-intensive applications, writing clean, modular Python code and performing quick data processing and feature engineering. • Prioritising areas for AI implementation based on business need or user feedback. • Break down complex problems into manageable components, and effectively communicate technical ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Essential Skills: • 2+ years experience with Gen AI, Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning • 6+ years in Analytics • Create, train, and fine-tune LLM/SLMs • Prompt development, RAG build • Java, Python, DB (SQL/NoSQL) • Crawling/ web scraping • API development • Experience with on-premise AI development (e.g., local LLMs, model deployment, open-source frameworks) • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, or related field • Full right to work in the UK required • If your profile matches the above and you'd like to find out more, please apply with your up to date CV.
