Role description
MoodysNWC is seeking a highly skilled AI Engineer to design, build, and scale AI-driven applications and platform capabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Python and Java, hands-on platform engineering experience, and a deep understanding of modern AI frameworks, tools, and the Azure AI Foundry ecosystem. This role will focus on developing AI solutions that power intelligent automation, predictive analytics, and cognitive capabilities across products and services. You’ll collaborate closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and platform teams to operationalize AI at scale. Role & Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models and services leveraging Python, Java, and cloud-native tools. • Collaborate with data science and platform teams to build and optimize AI infrastructure on Azure AI Foundry and related platforms. • Implement and maintain end-to-end AI pipelines, including data ingestion, model training, testing, and deployment. • Integrate AI solutions into enterprise systems ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. • Research, evaluate, and apply emerging AI frameworks and technologies to enhance platform capabilities. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into AI-powered solutions. • Optimize performance and cost efficiency across AI workloads using Azure services. • Document design decisions, architecture, and model deployment processes for reproducibility and transparency. Skills: • 3–6 years of experience in AI, ML, or software engineering. • Strong programming skills in Python and Java. • Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry or similar AI/ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI). • Proficiency in AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras, or Hugging Face. • Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD for AI pipelines. • Understanding of MLOps practices, including model versioning, monitoring, and governance. • Experience in platform engineering or cloud-native development. • Familiarity with prompt engineering, LLM fine-tuning, or generative AI frameworks (OpenAI, LangChain, Azure OpenAI Service). • Strong understanding of AI lifecycle management, from research to deployment. • Exposure to API design and microservices architecture. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The salary for this position ranges from $120k/year in our lowest geographic market up to $140k/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
