AI Engineer
Location: Weybridge, Surrey
Contract: 12 Months Fixed Term
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience)
About the Role
We’re seeking an ambitious AI Engineer with 1–2 years of relevant experience in AI/ML to join an innovation-driven team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with one of the world’s most dynamic and recognised electronics companies, contributing to the development of intelligent solutions that have global impact.
You’ll design, build, and deploy AI/ML models, explore cutting-edge open-source frameworks, and collaborate with international teams. If you’re motivated to sharpen your skills in Generative AI, NLP, and applied machine learning — this role offers the platform to grow and make a difference.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and refine AI/ML models including LLM-based solutions (RAG, fine-tuning, and prompt engineering).
• Design and implement AI-powered applications using Python, SQL/NoSQL, and APIs for seamless integration.
• Prototype, test, and optimise AI models for scalability and performance.
• Work with structured and unstructured datasets, applying strong backend and data processing skills.
• Incorporate emerging open-source AI tools into live business projects.
• Translate technical insights into business value for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay ahead of AI/ML developments and apply them to solve real-world business challenges.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
• Strong understanding of Machine Learning, NLP, and Generative AI concepts.
• Hands-on experience in Python and data libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow).
• Skills in SQL/NoSQL databases and API development.
• Familiarity with data gathering through web scraping/crawling.
• Ability to analyse and optimise model performance.
• Exposure to on-premise and open-source AI frameworks (e.g. Hugging Face, LangChain).
• Preferred:
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and solution design.
• Experience with cloud AI platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Broad knowledge of ML algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, deep learning).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
What’s on Offer
• 25 days’ annual leave
• Discretionary performance-based bonus
• Defined contribution pension scheme
• Health and life assurance cover
• Private medical insurance
• Flexible benefits allowance (e.g. dental, travel insurance, gym)
If you’re early in your AI career and want to work with a global technology leader while building advanced solutions that shape the future — this role is for you. Apply today and be part of something impactful.
