AI Engineer – Generative AI & Machine Learning

You will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and engineers to deliver enterprise-scale AI and Machine Learning initiatives, with a strong focus on Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, and Cloud technologies. AI Engineer – Generative AI & Machine Learning 📍 Sheffield, UK | 📅 Job Type: Subcontract - Inside IR35 Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, test, and implement AI-driven solutions. • Build and deploy Machine Learning and Generative AI applications. • Develop use cases leveraging LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, and Fine-tuning techniques. • Identify opportunities to generate business insights from data. • Monitor and optimize model performance. • Collaborate with engineering teams to move AI solutions from prototype to production. • Support the full AI solution lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment and maintenance. Required Skills & Experience • 7+ years of experience in AI, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related fields. • Strong hands-on experience with: • Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI • Prompt Engineering, RAG, Fine-tuning • Machine Learning and Deep Learning • Python (mandatory) • TensorFlow, Keras, or similar frameworks • Experience working in Agile delivery environments. • Strong understanding of statistical modeling and predictive analytics. • Experience with cloud platforms; Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is highly preferred. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (required). • Master's degree in AI, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field (preferred). • Experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, and Pub/Sub. • Exposure to Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, HBase, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
