Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled AI/Machine Learning Engineer II to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This onsite role in Austin, TX, is ideal for an engineer with a strong background in designing, developing, and deploying AI and machine learning solutions to solve complex business problems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and AI algorithms.
• Work closely with data engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders to integrate ML solutions into production systems.
• Preprocess and analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights.
• Evaluate model performance, optimize algorithms, and implement improvements.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging AI/ML technologies and best practices, applying them to real-world applications.
• Document processes, code, and models to ensure reproducibility and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven innovation.
• Must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) background check upon hire.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, including model development, training, and deployment.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries/frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or similar.
• Strong experience with data manipulation, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deploying ML models in production environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with NLP, computer vision, or recommendation systems.
• Knowledge of MLOps practices, including CI/CD for ML models.
• Experience with database technologies, SQL/NoSQL, and big data frameworks.
Work Environment:
• Onsite role in Austin, TX 78744.
• Long-term contract with the potential for extension.
