AI Platform (AWS, Python) Only W2

Job Title: Lead Platform Engineer, API & AI Services Location: Remote Duration: 6+ Months contract • Lead and own a production API Gateway platform supporting enterprise AI services for legal research, contract review, and document processing. • Manage a secure, scalable Python/FastAPI-based multi-tenant platform running on AWS cloud infrastructure. • Design and maintain API gateway features including routing, authentication, authorization, rate limiting, fault isolation, and reliability improvements. • Implement CIAM/OIDC/OAuth 2.0 security, JWT validation, JWKS key management, tenant identity propagation, and API key lifecycle management. • Lead a team of 3–4 engineers through architecture decisions, code reviews, mentoring, and technical ownership. • Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using ECS Fargate, Terraform/CDK, Redis, and RDS. • Manage CI/CD pipelines, production deployments, observability, monitoring, and distributed tracing. • Collaborate with AI teams on LLM-powered services, RAG pipelines, agent workflows, and structured AI outputs. • Design enterprise AI integrations including MCP servers, callable tools, and AI agent interfaces. • Required experience: Python/FastAPI, AWS, API architecture, cloud platforms, DevOps, security, and AI service integration.
