Role description
AGENTIC CODING WORKSHOP INSTRUCTOR – CONTRACT REMOTE Are you an experienced software engineer who actively uses AI coding agents in your development workflow? Do you enjoy teaching other developers how to adopt new tools and modern engineering practices? We are partnering with a global enterprise software organization to find AI Coding Workshop Instructors to deliver a hands-on developer training program focused on agentic development workflows. This is a contract engagement supporting the rollout of a structured training program across a large portfolio of software companies. Instructors will deliver live workshops, guide hands-on labs, and help developers adopt AI-powered coding workflows in real production environments. THE COMPANY Our client is a global enterprise software organization that supports a large network of independent B2B SaaS companies. As part of a major AI transformation initiative, they are launching an instructor-led developer program to train engineering teams on AI-assisted and agent-driven software development practices. The program focuses on teaching developers how to collaborate with AI coding agents across the entire software development lifecycleβ€”from planning and architecture through testing and implementation. Participants will install real toolchains, work with real codebases, and learn practical workflows they can immediately apply to production systems. THE ROLE As an AI Coding Workshop Instructor, you will lead live sessions for developers from multiple organizations. The workshops combine lectures, live demonstrations, and hands-on labs where participants build and modify real applications using AI-assisted development workflows. You will work closely with the program leadership team to deliver a structured curriculum while helping participants troubleshoot real-world development challenges during sessions. In this role, you can expect to be involved in the following: β€’ Delivering ~5 live training sessions per week via video conference (4 hours per session) β€’ Teaching developers how to use AI coding agents and automated workflows in real development environments β€’ Running hands-on labs covering both greenfield development and existing codebase exploration β€’ Troubleshooting technical issues live during sessions (environment setup, agent behavior, tooling configuration) β€’ Supporting developers during office hours and asynchronous Slack discussions between sessions β€’ Answering technical questions across a variety of tech stacks and architectures β€’ Encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing between participants from different organizations β€’ Helping refine and improve workshop content, labs, and exercises for future cohorts YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE β€’ 5+ years of professional software engineering experience β€’ Active, hands-on experience using Claude Code in real development workflows, including working with agent loops, tools/commands, project instruction files, and autonomous coding agents β€’ Hands-on experience using Cursor, including agent mode, rules files, and AI-assisted coding workflows β€’ Strong programming knowledge across at least some of the following: β€’ JavaScript / TypeScript β€’ Python β€’ PHP β€’ Strong understanding of agentic development patterns, including multi-step agent execution, context engineering, and AI-assisted development workflows β€’ Experience working with Test Driven Development (TDD) and modern engineering practices β€’ Ability to confidently debug unfamiliar codebases and development environments β€’ Experience delivering technical training, developer workshops, bootcamps, or engineering education β€’ Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex technical concepts to mixed-skill developer audiences β€’ Comfortable troubleshooting developer environments and tooling live during training sessions STRONGLY PREFERRED Candidates with the following experience will stand out: β€’ Experience with AI coding assistants or autonomous coding workflows β€’ Experience supporting developers working with large or legacy codebases β€’ Familiarity with advanced developer tooling and automation β€’ Experience comparing multiple AI development tools and workflows β€’ Background in enterprise or B2B SaaS environments β€’ Experience delivering training to engineers across multiple organizations or teams
