Job Description
They are seeking a Business Analyst with experience supporting an AI/ML driven project. Although this position is 100% remote, we are seeking candidates that reside in one of the following states: DC, MD, VA, WV, NC, PA, DE, NY, NJ, TX, FL
The Senior Business Analyst will have the responsibility to ensure that the business's need for changes to processes, policies and/or information systems are identified, understood, defined, documented and acted upon by eliciting, analyzing, documenting, validating, specifying and verifying the needs of business or user. The incumbent is accountable for the gathering and synthesizing of business requirements for moderate complexity software, systems, processes and/or services including digital, data, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions and translates them into specifications ensuring the business objectives are met. As the functional expert, the incumbent serves as a strategic conduit between the business area and the technical or software development team through which requirements flow.
Essential Functions
• Interprets business needs and issues by gathering, eliciting, creating, analyzing, documenting and validating the Business area-s user and/or technical (functional/non-functional) requirements. Collaborates in the creation of project plans to define, organize and schedule requirements management and development activities. Facilitates requirements analysis and verification sessions. Participates in the tracking and management of open issues and assists in planning for resolution. Participates in development sessions and design reviews in order to ensure design meets user requirements.
• Responsible for the overall success of user acceptance testing, including documentation, verification and release. Implements practices and procedures for end user test plans. Identifies and documents gaps in requirement adherence or system deficiencies/defects and coordinates appropriate action through issue resolution. Leads in creating formal communication to be delivered to relevant stakeholders. Provides guidance and training to application end users.
• Identifies, documents and troubleshoots problems utilizing acquired experience and knowledge of the relationships in systems, software and processes. Collaborate with appropriate stakeholders to monitor, report and resolve issues. Participates in the development of solutions and workarounds that solve moderate to high complexity technical, system and/or business issues.
• Reviews, analyzes and creates detailed documentation of business systems, processes, software and user needs. Responsible for the written documentation of requirements in accordance with established standards, in a clear and well organized manner. Develops and/or collaborates in key project and requirement deliverables for projects of moderate to high complexity.
• Monitors and reports project status to identify and mitigate risks and to ensure quality and timely deliverables. Coordinates assigned projects from concept through implementation. Prioritize and manage new work requests.
• Answers policy-related questions for business process, systems and software which require research and consultation with others internally and externally. Required Skills
• 5+ years progressive experience in business analysis position, with experience supporting a AI/ML related project (2+ projects) as a Business Analyst.
• Required Tech Stack: AWS (Bedrock and Sagemaker), Jira, Confluence, Snowflake, MS Office Suite

• AI/ML requirements analysis - ability to define clear, testable requirements for AI and machine learning solutions.
• Healthcare insurance domain expertise is required. Preferable within Federal Employee Program and/or BCBS. Must have a strong understanding of health insurance operations and regulations.
• Healthcare claims experience - hands on knowledge of claims processing, workflows, and data.
• Agile delivery experience - proven ability to work in Agile teams, supporting sprint planning, refinement, and UAT.

• Total BA experience should be at least 5-6 years, and as many AI/ML projects and/or years of exp as possible. More experience the better, should know different type of ML models (they use Bedrock), able to understand and write it into requirements
• Healthcare Payer Insurance background is required and Claims processing knowledge is required (prefers BCBS exp.).
• They Need a BA to help with AI/ML line of business. They developed applications for other BCBS plans and now building out AI/ML products. They need a BA to work with the Data Scientist teams to decide gather docs for the team to decide which applications should get AI/ML functions, which shouldn't, and which should be sunsetted altogether.
• Everything is housed in AWS Sagemaker and Bedrock - both are preferred, but to get the start, we should check one or both off. General understand/knowledge here is required. Nothing advanced, general understanding would suffice.
• Very agile environment - Must be Agile focused, able to be support a fast moving environment
• Tech Stack: Jira, Confluence, AWS Sagemaker, Snowflake (big plus, basic knowledge for data sourcing), MS Applications in general
• Snowflake is preferred
• The models are all based around receiving and processing claims, so claims knowledge is important.
• Certs are preferred, not required.
