AWS DevOps Consultant
Role Type: Contract
Location: Remote
Senior AWS DevOps Engineer - Preferred Candidates from East and Central Location.
Job Responsibilities:
Must have: AWS, Devops, Python, UDeploy and 8-10 Years total Experience
Primary Skills
• AWS data pipeline stack (e.g., S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Glue/PySpark, Athena) supporting enterprise data workloads.
• Deployments use UDeploy and we are standardizing repeatable deployment processes; candidates must be able to work effectively within UDeploy constraints and troubleshoot where needed.
Must-have skills
DevOps Engineer
• Scripting/automation: Python + Bash (PowerShell a plus)
• CI/CD: GitHub Actions; strong Git workflows; quality gates (tests, linting, security scanning)
• Containers: Docker (Compose helpful); Kubernetes experience preferred
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform (module design, remote state, drift awareness)
• AWS security-first: IAM least privilege, KMS encryption patterns, secrets management
• Observability + cost management: CloudWatch monitoring/alerting and cost controls (tagging, budgets/anomaly awareness)
• Experience integrating Terraform/CDK workflows with UDeploy
• Prior experience supporting data engineering teams (batch + orchestration patterns)

• Specific AWS services used (by name) and depth of hands-on work
• Example(s) of CI/CD pipelines built (GitHub Actions)
• Terraform examples (modules/state approach)
