Role description
Type: 1099 independent contractor
Contract Window: ASAP– Dec 9, 2025 (3‑month initial term; extension possible)
Start: Immediate
Location: Remote
About Aurat Aroma:
Aurat Aroma’s Synthetic Olfactory Engine (V2) enables software products to classify, simulate, and reason about scent signals. We partner with enterprises to embed our engine into their stacks for R&D, quality, safety, and new product experiences.
About the Role:
We’re hiring a contractor who is both a capable AI/ML integrator and a motivated go-to-market (GTM) operator. You’ll:
• Own prospecting → discovery → demo → paid enterprise evaluations.
• Close small-enterprise V2 licensing deals (target MRV $5k–$20k) and facilitate contracts end-to-end.
• Integrate V2 into each customer’s environment (SDKs, auth, configs, observability) to ensure value is realized quickly.
This is ideal for someone who loves wearing two hats: technical and commercial.
What You'll Do (Bus. Devops + AI/ML Devops):
• Identify, qualify, and outreach to prospects (LinkedIn, X, Reddit, industry groups).
• Run discovery, lead demos, and coordinate paid evaluations/pilots.
• Maintain a weekly pipeline log (targets, stage, next steps) and surface qualified interest.
• Prepare/adapt V2 enterprise artifacts for customer stacks: container/IaC tweaks, env vars, deployment configs.
• Build light SDK wrappers/adapters (Python/Node) and runnable code samples.
• Implement auth patterns (API keys, OAuth2/SAML/JWT), rate limiting, error handling.
• Map data formats; add pre/post-processing where needed.
• Add observability (logs/metrics), perform basic latency profiling, and write troubleshooting guides.
• Provide a short integration README per customer (steps, configs, known issues) + a high-level security note (data flow, access controls, logging/retention, hardening checklist).
Must‑haves:
• 2+ years of hands‑on software experience (internships and projects welcome) with applied AI/ML or platform integration. Advanced students with strong grounding in AI/ML and/or computational neuroscience are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, Rust; comfort with containers and basic IaC.
• Familiarity with enterprise auth (OAuth2/SAML/JWT), logging/metrics, and basic performance profiling.
• Demonstrated GTM capability: prospecting, discovery, demoing, and shepherding contracts.
• Clear, concise written communication; ability to produce customer‑ready runbooks/readmes.
What will make you thrive here:
• Ambition to take DevOps/ML skills out of the sandbox and into real enterprise relationships.
• Bias to action, ownership of outcomes, and comfort with milestone/success‑based compensation.
• Experience in regulated, safety, or quality‑driven environments (nice to have).
We value diverse perspectives and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If you’re excited about the intersection of AI/ML integration and GTM, we’d love to hear from you.
