Algorithm Developer (Onsite Role)
16+ Months contract
Warren, MI
Rate: $45 - $55/hour on W2 (The rate may vary based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)
Important Notes for this role:
β’ The key requirements highlighted were a background in control engineering, experience in control algorithm design, and exposure to vehicle systems like powertrain, battery control, and engine control.
β’ Fresh PhD graduates are acceptable, but masters candidates need a few years of relevant industry experience, preferably in the automotive field.
β’ Knowledge of vehicle systems and powertrain modeling/control is highly desirable.
β’ Proficiency in MATLAB and Python is required for simulation and modeling work.
Job Description
β’ The candidate in this role will work to develop physics-based and ML based algorithms for modeling, estimation and control of propulsion systems. In addition, he/she will work on validation of the designed algorithms using both simulation and experimental measurement.
β’ PhD or MSc (with strong background) in mechanical, electrical engineering, or chemical engineering
β’ Proficiency in programming languages such as python/MATLAB
β’ Strong background in system dynamics and control
β’ Experience in different data analysis methods (both conventional and deep learning)
β’ having a deep understanding of vehicular propulsion systems (ICE/battery) are considered as βnice to haveβ
β’ Self-motivation, eagerness to learn, love to work in a team, and passion to grow are also requirements for applicants to this position
