Job#: 3025209 Job Description: Client: Financial Services Team: Financial Crimes Job Title: AML/KYC Data & Reporting Analyst Location: Charlotte, NC | Hybrid 3x/week | 8am-5pm Contract Length: 6-12 months (anticipated through EOY) Rate: $50-55/hr Interview Process: 1 round, 30 minutes, virtual Top Requirements: • 5+ years data analysis skills; ability to extract, validate, and interpret data for accurate metrics (volumes, timeliness, backlogs, exceptions, trends) • Advanced Excel and data tooling proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, conditional logic, data cleansing, basic automation) • Due diligence and AML/KYC processes and regulatory timelines • Translate raw data into clear reports, dashboards, and summaries for stakeholders • High attention to detail and data integrity with strong QC mindset Plusses: • Collaborating with due diligence teams, compliance partners, technology, and risk management • Documenting metric definitions, methodologies, assumptions, and exceptions • Strong workflow/process mapping awareness • Background supporting audits, exams, or senior management reporting Job Summary: This role supports Financial Crimes by contributing to moderately complex initiatives and large ‑ scale planning efforts. The consultant will analyze Business Execution challenges, support the evaluation and resolution of issues, and collaborate closely with various partners across due diligence, compliance, technology, and risk. The position requires strong data analysis skills, an understanding of AML/KYC processes, and the ability to produce accurate, defensible metrics used for reporting, governance, and regulatory needs. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: • Extract, validate, cleanse, and interpret data to produce accurate operational metrics • Build and maintain reporting on volumes, timeliness, backlogs, exceptions, and trends • Perform advanced Excel-based analysis (pivot tables, lookups, conditional logic, basic automation) • Translate data into clear summaries, dashboards, and narratives for management and audit/regulatory partners • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and defensibility for audits, exams, and leadership reporting • Investigate anomalies, identify root causes of metric fluctuations, and resolve reporting gaps • Map and understand end-to-end due diligence workflows to ensure proper metric capture • Support recurring reporting cycles and manage ad hoc data requests • Collaborate with due diligence, compliance, technology, and risk teams to clarify requirements and validate data • Document metric definitions, methodologies, assumptions, exceptions, and supporting governance materials EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
