Analyst - Data Developer (Hybrid) Primary Location: Phoenix, Arizona V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for an Analyst - Data Developer for our premier client in Phoenix, Arizona. Education And Experience » • 5 or more years of professional Data Development experience with relational database systems, utilizing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities listed above. Preferred: • Experience working on an Agile/Scrum team. • Experience in the Education or Government sector. • Familiarity with Special Education programs, services, and monitoring. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities » • SQL Server development using T-SQL, SSIS. • Intermediate- to advanced-level relational database modeling and design. • Power BI, SSRS and other BI and Data Visualization tools. • Ability to recognize and apply data systems development patterns and best practices. • Ability to excel in a collaborative and distributed team environment. • Ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and business experts alike. • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels of employees ranging from entry level to senior leadership. • Ability to respectfully question ideas and share a point of view with others in support of the business requirements and needs. • Ability to work with a minimal amount of direction while being proactive in keeping management and coworkers informed of project related issues. • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining focus on deadlines and deliverables. • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and shift priorities quickly. • Proven strong problem-solving skills, troubleshooting and root cause analysis. • Demonstrated ability to use discretion and make sound decisions. • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred: • Working knowledge/practice in Data Vault data modeling methodology. • Microsoft Azure data technologies. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Job Responsibilities: • Develop T-SQL for creation and maintenance of database objects and ETL solutions. • Develop interactive data visualizations, analytics, and dashboard solutions using Power BI. • Support existing SSRS reporting. • Work with the lead Data Architect on implementation of data architecture principles to align and conform business capabilities. • Participate in collaborative design and definition sessions. • Support defect analysis and resolution. • Work closely/collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Project Management, Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, Operations, etc.). • Participate in various Agile/Scrum activities, such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives. • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.
