Role description
Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for an Analyst Technical Business 3 with our energy and utilities client in San Antonio, TX. This is a 12-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay: $39.98 - $44.98/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
Description:
This role will work closely with the Manager of Digital Product Development, Product Managers, Developers and Quality Assurance team members as well partner with the Digital & Data Transformation organization, Information Technology leadership, peers, and cross-functional teams to help the product team develop new features, services or capabilities which evolve the digital experience for customers and employees and directly contributes to our company's digital transformation.
• Support our company's mission to continuously improve the digital experiences by leading empirical process control - transparency, inspection, and adaptation.
• Work with teams, Stakeholders, other Scrum Masters and company leaders to foster a culture that supports respect, focus, courage, openness, and commitment.
• Define and lead an agile vision and strategy that improves as the company advances in our agile understanding.
• Report to the Manager of Digital Product Development and work closely with decision-makers in other departments to identify, recommend, document, support the code develop, implementation, and support cutting-edge digital technology solutions.
• Responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-value analytic solutions to enable data-driven strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate and engage with the business to identify the reporting requirements, KPI's, and strategic measures needed to deliver actionable information defined as governed, secure, accurate, and accessible to the users' business needs.
Service to Scrum Team:
• Supports the team to become self-managed and cross-functional.
• Identifying and communicating impediments to the Product Managers.
• Support the team with best practices and direction on how to become self-organized.
• Help coordinate, participate, and facilitate Scrum events, as needed.
• Act as Scrum Manager for the Operations Excellence squad.
• Encourages a positive, productive, timeboxed Scrum Ceremonies
• Provides back-up support to the Product Managers, as needed.
• Helps the team establish practices enhancing quality, lowering technical debt, and increasing product value.
• Track and report application vulnerabilities, contributing to the squad backlog.
• Guide product owners on arranging the Product Backlogs to maximize value.
• Facilitating stakeholder collaboration as requested or needed.
• Business Analyst (5+ years of experience).
• Extensive experience applying core Agile, Project and Scrum knowledge to customer facing products and features.
• Identify business unit requirements, create project, and process specifications, facilitate testing, coordinate with project teams, and ensure that projects are delivered on-time and within budget.
• Responsible for engaging a specific business/functional area to support meeting the business' needs and asks.
• Actively identifying dependencies and risks to the requirements and communicating those with the scrum masters and product team members.
• Collaboration with management, product owners, product managers, user experience, research, development, and quality assurance team members - as well third-party vendors supporting the product efforts.
• Identify process improvements and implement solutions.
• Provide resolution to an extensive range of complicated problems.
• Interact with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters, functional and non-functional, frequently requiring coordination across organizational lines.
• Demonstrated understanding and experience of working in the Software Development Industry (both good and bad) so you can relate to people and conflicts.
PROFESSIONAL and TECHNICAL SKILLS:
• Hard conversations skills, guiding thorough inspection and exploring options to change with a positive, servant heart attitude.
• Strong, interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with business areas and corporate partner.
• Manage products using the Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Confluence) to compile scrum metrics, sprint results, JIRA dashboards and reporting.
• Ensure business processes are running in accordance with Agile methodologies.
• Support Features, Epic and User Story writing and functional/non-functional acceptance criteria
• Relevant information technology and/or business experience, including significant time within a digital function.
• Strong project coordination and change management experience with confidence in being a back-up to Product Manager / Owners and Scrum Masters, as needed.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with a background in data-oriented applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and set as well meet deliverable deadlines.
• Effective organization skills with attention to detail and strong customer service skills.
• Work independently and effectively with staff at all levels and from multiple lines of businesses.
• Experience creating detailed reports, building dashboards, facilitating refinements, and giving presentations.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Some experience with SQL and Power BI to build and manage reports.
• Experience in applying a wide variety of well-known patterns and techniques, e.g. TDD, SOLID, CI/CD, INVEST, User Stories, agile estimation.
• SDLC, Iterative, Agile, OWF, and /or Scrum development.
• Agile Scrum Team Background 3+ years
• JIRA and Confluence Experience 3+ years
