Job Title: Simulation Engineer

Job Description:
• This role focuses on leveraging Siemens Plant Simulation software to create accurate, validated simulation models at multiple operational levels from individual production lines to regional supply chains. The insights generated will directly support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Simulation Engineer will develop standardized tools, templates, and validation protocols to ensure consistency and quality across all simulation projects.
• The role involves development of simulation models, managing external simulation vendors and collaborating closely with internal engineers and data analysts on data integration. This position is critical to enhancing Battery PE’s ability to anticipate operational challenges and optimize manufacturing performance.
Job Duties:
• Develop and enhance Battery PE’s capability in discrete event simulation (DES) to model manufacturing operations at multiple levels: line, shop, plant, and regional supply chain.
• Design and implement standard input templates and deliverable formats for internal use and for collaboration with external simulation vendors.
• Establish and maintain simulation validation standards to ensure accuracy and reliability of models.
• Create and manage a centralized system for organizing and maintaining in-house simulation models.
• Develop advanced techniques for mining completed simulation data to extract actionable business insights that drive operational improvements.
Requirements:
Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves):
• Bachelors degree in relevant fields such as Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in discrete event simulation within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise using Siemens Plant Simulation software for building and applying DES models.
• Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) to automate data processing or simulation workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to develop standards, templates, and processes for simulation modeling and validation.
