Job Title: Analytical Scientist II
Job Description
We are seeking a highly self-motivated, interactive, and productive hands-on scientist to join the Drug Discovery Sciences team. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge and extensive experience focused on liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) analysis of small molecules and peptides in different biological matrices. You will work independently as well as collaboratively to generate high-quality data to drive programs forward.
Responsibilities
• Perform hands-on laboratory research and routine LC-MS/MS analysis of small molecules to support animal pharmacokinetic (PK), toxicokinetic (TK), PD and efficacy studies for drug discovery projects.
• Conduct in vitro ADME experiments including in vitro stability and protein binding.
• Acquire, process data, interpret results, and generate reports using software tools such as Sciex Analyst Software 1.7 and Sciex OS 2.0.
• Generate PK reports using Phoenix 64 WinNonlin software in support of animal PK studies.
• Collaborate with in vivo team to perform formulation and stability testing.
• Prepare analytical protocols and results reports using MS Word, Excel, GraphPad, and PowerPoint.
• Troubleshoot and maintain instruments to ensure analytical performance and data reliability.
• Adapt new technology platforms and novel tools for DMPK challenges.
• Maintain electronic laboratory notebook in accordance with intellectual property policies.
• Adhere to safety practices and compliance with EH&S safety rules, and participate in mandatory training programs.
Essential Skills
• Strong knowledge in LC-MS analysis of small molecules and peptides.
• Hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS, HRMS, and liquid handler for quantitation of small molecules in biological matrices.
• Proficiency in using Phoenix 64 WinNonlin software for PK data analysis and report generation.
• Ability to troubleshoot scientific equipment including LC-MS/MS.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline with at least 2-5 years of related experience or Master’s degree with at least 1 year of related experience.
• Experience with RapidFire/QTOF 6545XT and QTRAP 6500+ systems is a plus.

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $60.00/hr.
