Microstrategy Developer

Title: MicroStrategy Developer Location: Manchester, NH Duration: 8-12 Months Microstrategy developer will have 5+ years experience. Must have MicroStrategy 9.x / 10.x. Must have experience with integration and development on the server side. Data Mining and Modeling expertise. Will be working with and creating Business requirements to tie in with MicroStrategy solutions. JavaScript and VBscript is part of their environment and should have some experience working with those tools. Will be developing Dashboard solutions and building trust with the Business to enhance outcomes. This is an Enterprise level project and will have interaction with all levels (BA, PM, QA, etc.) of the organization so communication both verbal and written is critical. Will phone screen with HM and then with CIO to a personal or web based interview. Person must be interested in T-P and if not local able to move to the area without relocation assistance. Will be all on site to serve the project team needs and business. Specific to MicroStrategy: Understand the requirements and turn them into technical reporting needs by using MicroStrategy and Microsoft Business Intelligence Reporting tools. As a MicroStrategy Architect/developer create new facts, attributes and visualizations form expressions, and hierarchies as needed Generate and implement MicroStrategy Schema objects and application objects by creating facts, attributes, reports, dashboards, filters, metrics and templates using MicroStrategy Desktop. Create visual reports, dashboards from various data sources like Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014 and external sources like Excel and flat files. Create complex visual dashboards and reports with multi layouts, multi panels involved in analytics with multiple data sets. Contribute on complete Software Development Life Cycle from gathering requirements, software architecture, design, coding, integration and testing. Create logical data models, ER Diagrams, recognize source tables and columns, to create build attributes, facts, and hierarchies form expressions and Relationships necessary to create a MicroStrategy project. Implement Microsoft XL integration with MicroStrategy and resolve exporting issues under grid reporting side like Pivot table, etc. Work on resolving relationships and complex hierarchies and create summary tables within MicroStrategy models for visualizations. Define developing standards to the reporting team as far as MicroStrategy models are concerned. Create intelligent cubes and cache them in the project to reduce performance issues. Participate in routine architecture and code reviews and submit required change request to ensure design outputs meet design inputs. Prioritize the completion of tasks and resolution of issues to ensure compliance to program deliverables. Create rich dashboards using MicroStrategy and prepare user stories to create compelling dashboards to deliver actionable insights. Responsible for interaction with business stake holders, gathering requirements and managing the delivery and perform enhancements on existing Reports and dashboards.
